Whenever they actaully get around to posting mine, I'll probably follow up with an STS to ensure they did it right. I tried to read all the literature on how rrte pay is calculated and in my specific case (L4/L8 and illegal rrte), I think I have an idea what it should show, but I'm not confident.
L4a/b/c do not stack. You get one of the three depending on the reroute. L8 stacks with L4. The newest SRH has all the NN calculation examples included now.

Quick and dirty example:

3 day trip with 3 legs a day (all out and backs). A day 3 as scheduled. B day leg 3 is rerouted to a new overnight. C day rerouted first leg to rejoin scheduled trip with the penalty lap to somewhere in Texas. Taxiing in to your base on that first leg C day, you get rerouted to a new penalty lap (illegal reroute) and you don’t call to get released or returned to your scheduled legs. You get back >4 hours late (REG).

B day pays +50% for block + mu (L4a).
C day 1st leg pays +100% for block + mu (L4b).
C day 2nd and 3rd legs do not get RRPY but you get +100% pay for the whole trip (15:45, L4c).

L4a/b shows under “RRPY”.
L4c is a separate line item on the time card “L4C”.
L8 is too much math for this example, but it shows under “REROUTE PAY” lower down.

Transparency!!
