At any rate, the OP, you're at a regional, I'd suggest you get out asap. JetBlue may just be a stop on the way to a legacy, but being Boston based, JB actually would be beneficial in that regard. Yea things aren't great here atm; morale is down. With that said, new management has turned this place around in 10 months, and that's with all the parked airframes. A full fleet will put them back in the black. JB has a market they do well in. Job is easy. Pilot group is great. Currently in Section 6 negotiations...will take a few years at least.
To my understanding, all hiring has slowed...even regionals. The past 2 years where legacies were hiring anybody that could fog a mirror is over. I don't think we'll ever see anything like that again. If you can snag a legacy job, do it. If not, being Boston based at JetBlue is a solid.
One other thing to mention is there is decent chance that JetBlue ends up being acquired or merged at some point. If they stay as a stand alone, they'll be fine with the market they have. Just not a lot of movement. Last thing, this industry changes so much in a few short years, nobody knows what the landscape will look like in 2-5 years. You can not predict this industry.
Hope this helps. Good luck
