Back in the bad old days on the 727 we would pull the MX release on the doors during the walk-around to get a better look. Since that went by the wayside long ago I agree with your analysis, there is more than enough room behind the gear door for a body to be hidden.

However if he was dead when the doors opened on approach I would have expected him to fall out then.
