This is true; there are a lot of new schedulers and usually they correct it. However, I have also had supervisors essentially say “too bad, it is what it is.” Then afterwards the union agrees with me and I have the luxury of going through a tedious grievance process just to have them say “sorry we won’t do it again.”

Perhaps in the next CBA there should be an incentive for them to follow the contract like awarding comp days/pay for violations. Right now there is no real incentive.
