Yeah sure ---- except that Denver Air Connection was a Part 121 Embraer 145 with 50 seats on it.
Also, Wilcox has never said he was against the 1,500 hour rule for 121. Don't put words in his mouth, it ain't necessarily so.
I'm near their LAS operation, and his pilots and crewmembers by and large love working at JSX. (Speak up guys and gals!) And JSX customers love it too.
Finally, how many of you commenting have been the accountable executive for everything - safety, certification, payroll - for any air carrier? As far as I can tell Wilcox has been for multiple air carriers in the US, India and for worldwide operations, hundreds of thousands if not millions of flights, for decades.
Understand the concern about the fox guarding the henhouse, but pretty sure he'd have to leave JSX to take this role.
