The response saying attacks like this are rare but do happen in the United States is Pretty Weak Sauce IMO.
It seems as if there is an acknowledgment that there is a hightened risk in select locations, but it is a risk that we should just be comfortable with and that there really isn't a problem.
‘attacks like these have happened for decades… with the rise of social media it has made the reporting mainstream. In the UK, France, Belgium, Brazilian, Mexico these crimes happen all the time… can’t get away from it other than sitting in your room. When you venture out be smart and keep eyes/ears open and don’t travel alone at night or in areas you shouldn’t be in
