Yes, I read what you wrote. IIRC, and it was several years ago during Covid, the RFO who got the landing was trying to convince the FO to put in for it, and the FO was hesitant, saying "schedules didn't do that, you did".

These are the types of situations which the company notices and then fixes in the fine print, usually to the detriment of the entire crew force.

It didn't pass the smell test with me, I told them so, but he was going to try anyway. I don't know how it turned out.

My point is, if you bid RFO, don't expect to get any landings. RFO lines usually don't go junior.

If you are junior and need landings, put in for first fly, call the scheduler and tell them you need landings, or suck it up and go to the sim.

I have very little sympathy for anyone hired directly into the right seat of the 777 complaining about a lack of landings.
