There are 300M plus people in this country & many, many widely varying viewpoints about how things should work. Some of them are going to be obnoxious & try and shove their opinions "down your throat" (no group has a monopoly on this philosophy btw). Some of them just want you to call them 'them'. If you believe pronouns are the thing we should be paying attention to right now, I'm not sure what to tell you. There are about a million actual problems I'd rather solve than waste America's time arguing about what to call someone who's already told you what they'd like to be called. If the Karens are that far under your skin, that sounds like a 'you' problem to me.
