Eagle is short on pilots per aircraft already. Who is the moron who said 600+ pilots will be affected. Good god. You dont even work at Eagle, you dont know their situation. Everyone just needs to calmmmm dowwwwnnnn.

I would say company wide, Eagle is short at least 200 pilots per the amount of aircraft as they operate right now. About 100 of shortage are FO's from ORD. So the infamous pilot shortage at Eagle is finally solved.

Lets not even take company retirements into this equation even though we already know Eagle has more old grumpy men than any other regional airline, and they spit out retirements in nearly triple digits each year.

Eagle's ALPA is grumpy too. They file grievance's like handing out candy to kids. Anyone who has worked there knows what im talking about. They'll find some way to lay heavy pressure on management (and we already know Eagle's management is numb to it by now). But again, we wont take that into this equation.

I would say given 35-40 airplanes being rolled off a cliff (since Eagle already tried the whole program where they would start selling 135's to convert into corporate jets, and no one was interested= FAILURE) that means they pretty much have to roll them off a cliff or park them in a desert... again it doesnt matter. We wont take that into the equation.

I would say 35-40 planes gone given the shortage would equel to about 100 too many pilots, or less. What are you going to do with them? Send them to the street? Knowing AMR, I would say YES!!! ... in a heartbeat!!! They wouldnt think twice... good ol AMR.

But then again, we'll see what really happens.

Good luck to you all. We all know one thing, AMR plans ahead, I am sure we'll see a shakeup for the rest of the industry to follow shortly.

RANT OVER.
