These Crew Assist inquiry cases appear to be essentially worthless when pointing out when something was done or assigned in error. You can tell by the response that the person handling your case has essentially no clue about the subject matter your inquiring about. The response I got from mine just now is laughable. It's like they might not have even read what I submitted. I love the "have a nice day thanks" sign off. Can we go right to an STS or do we have to start at the crew assist level?
I don’t mean to rain on your parade of thinking the Crew Assist folks don’t know but here it goes:
the knowledge they have of the PWA is based on their supervisor’s interpretations and in cases where it differs from ALPA it’s more than likely been mentioned to the higher ups but good luck getting them to disseminate this. Part 2, these answers to the pilots come from the same pool of folks that respond to the ALPA committee tasked with disputing via STS.
