Please, enlighten us how an 18 hour long call will work at a base like AVL, VPS, etc.? Our model negates the need for some of these contractual provisions, this being one of them. Now you want to tell the company that they’re forbidden from multi-day pairings? Not going to happen—ever.
Until the fringe pilots such as yourself recognize that you’re not going to have a legacy contract that guarantees day trips only, we will always have 15-20% of this group that’ll say no. We get it, you want to be paid like your friends at Delta. Maybe you should’ve just left when the hiring was trending towards 500 Turbine guys and gals.
The fact of the matter is this, whenever this JV team negotiating committee gets to a TA, it will have been the same “end product” as it would have been a year ago. JR, JA, JC, JK have absolutely nothing that qualifies them to negotiate a contract against the very best anti-union firm in the country. This is just like having your niece’s flag football team play against the eagles— it just ain’t going to work out.
