When I did my interview, things moved really fast. I had a brief chat with the assistant Chief Pilot, where we went over my flight hours (total time, multi-engine time, and whether I had ATP/CTP). I was then recommended for a panel interview via Zoom, which included a Chief Pilot and Flight Operations personnel. It was pretty laid-back, with TMAT-style questions. I also had to brief a Jeppesen plate—I think it was for SEA or JFK, but I can't remember exactly. Four days later, I received a CJO.
The pilot group here is awesome, and you’ll get to fly heavy aircraft. Most folks are frustrated because we are long overdue for our CBA, but overall, I’m happy here—it’s all about what you put into it.
We do have some pilots for whom English is not their first language, and it can be challenging at times, especially when flying into busy airspace.
Good luck!
