The Union needs to hear from the pilot group in a real face to face way, and we don't have it now. Just look at this discussion our pilots are unsure how hard to push to save money for the company. I don't know who my LEC's name is or what that person looks like. For good reason because it would what good would it do. I never see them, hear them, or have any Idea what their up to. That makes it hard to have ANY KIND OF SOLIDARITY. You want the pilot group to stand behind the Union? Have some goddam meetings. Encourage the pilot group to attend. There needs to be a lot of them because this company wastes so much of eveyones time with the line construction and day turns. It's a tough break ,but we need to adapt if there is any hope of solidarity.
You're very confused about how this works. First of all, the union is us. We are the union. Solidarity comes from each one of us following our orders and sticking together. The power comes from each of us on the line, not from the top. If you don't know what to do, call a rep. If you don't know who that is, log on to the Alpa website.
