Expecting our European allies to do any more than Obama did is magical thinking. It's been 11 years since Russia took Crimea, and excepting Poland and little Eastern European countries too small to much matter, none of them have built up their militaries sufficiently to overcome 35 or more years of neglect, far less to significantly help Ukraine militarily. So it's either negotiate the best deal yiu can get or choose from the options above. Or like Obama, choose not to do squat...
How does one negotiate and come to a peace agreement with someone who's known to not abide by them?

It's not being "pro-war" to be weary of striking a deal with someone who's notorious for never upholding his end of the bargain.

He took Crimea 11 years ago. There, you get to have the most strategically advantageous year round port on your western border on a water way that gives you access to the open ocean. Happy? Deal? Not gonna invade again right? Pinky promise?

A quick Google search will tell you Putin has violated 25 ceasefires with Ukraine. I'm not gonna get into a debate about the validity of that number, its irrelevant. One broken ceasefire agreement is one too many.
