Was it a brake fire? Fuel leak from the damaged engine that ignited? Where were the fire trucks.. if they diverted for an emergency, wouldn't the trucks usually follow to the gate?
It was not an emergency, it was a non-emergency precautionary diversion with slightly high engine vibration but no indications of anything more serious. By all accounts everything was normal until after parking.
