Since you seem to know, afaik Boeing does not specify a max vibration level, it’s also not an EICAS caution.
So your “slightly” high should not have been a reason to divert.
If the diversion was precautionary then it would have been prudent to get equipment by the runway.
So it was bad enough to divert without e-checklist/QRH guidance then I was bad enough to declare and ask for ARFF to follow them in.
