Same fleet downgrade is a 4 day process. Current recurrent plus a front end day for flows in a FTD. If you go within 120 days your pay cutover is completion of the training event, IOE.
Taking AD would guarantee your CA pay until the effective date on Jan 1. Could literally extend your CA pay for nearly an extra 3 months.
Fly as a senior FO starting in May and make CA pay until January 1, or possibly lose the pay by October 15 in the normal training window. What would you choose? The company is actually ALMOST doing a favor for the downgrades by offering this. Food for thought since everyone’s only talking training dates.
Advanced Displacements, the way the company intends to use them, is a CBA violation. Great first post though. Read your union email.
