It is a good article, and I think it reflects the growing divide in American politics more broadly. People want to hear what they want to hear. This is neither the post nor the forum to have this discussion so I'll just say in closing that I'm not surprised there are journalists with enough integrity left at a place like NPR to be introspective and critical of the way their organization has fallen short of their stated goals of providing quality journalism that is as free from bias as is reasonably possible.

In stark contrast, I would never expect to see that level of introspection from someone like Tucker Carlson because he's not a journalist with integrity. His own arguments in his libel lawsuit demonstrate that.
