F/A's? It might have happened that hiring got reduced for the summer months but I don't recall hearing that.
Last year was the only year we stopped new hire classes over the summer. So not sure what you mean by often? Also that was done not to reduce training backlog but done specifically because they backed off on their hiring forecast for 2024. In 2023 we stopped new hire classes in June, but resumed in July. That was done specifically to reduce the training backlog.
