Really? The only fault that I found in PB was that he was very hard on the industry when it suited him politically. From an insider standpoint, I count that as a minus, but JFC, SWA truly deserved everything it got during the last 4 years. We have been abjectly terrible.
From every other standpoint, I thought he did a great job. He certainly didn't hit send after a near miss and threaten to upend a century of work in aviation safety reporting nor shoot his mouth off on the regular about things he knows nothing about. This isn't political. I want someone competent in that office. I enjoyed road rules as much as the next guy, but come on....
I would gladly take someone with strong right political leanings in that office if they had experience and a track record to pull it off. It is a political appointment after all.
