So with the Tariff War going on between the US and China, there has been news that Chinese airline won't take MAXs they had on order. I also read there was a MAX on its delivery flight over the Pacific that turned around back to the US because the carrier didn't want it due to tariffs.
So with all these MAXs now just sitting around, is there any chance that maybe SWA can swoop in and snag some of them? Even if we don't grow the fleet (Getting these MAXs and getting rid of more 800s) that's got to be an attractive option to the company.
Those particular planes had the cabins already configured. I am sure they will sit in Seattle until this thing gets figured out.
As for future orders...don't know. I am not so sure SWA wants a bunch of new deliveries despite what they say.
