We've had 6 787s delivered since November 2024 and 6 more to be delivered by the end of 2025 and I still don't see the new route announcements except for Saigon and Bangkok but they claim they are using existing planes with long sits in Hong Kong.
Something has to happen because 787 CA has only had bids to cover attrition for the last 6 months.
The airplanes dont sit in HKG. they turn out back to the states. There will be 1 dedicated 787 for both flights. The BKK flight will leave in the morning after the morning arrivals from the states, and return to connect to the evening flights stateside. The SGN flight will leave in the evening after the late arrivals and return in the morning to connect to the morning departures to the states. So, 1 plane…2 destinations.
