Pretty sure theres multiple things being conflated here;
The guy I quoted tried to make some correlation/causation argument. More seats getting jammed into AA planes while government programs being cut.
My point was, at least what I thought, was that AA announced years ago they were going to a super basic economy fare with the seats to match it. IOW, smallER seats that will on the pricing point will compete with the ULCC's.
