It will be interesting to see his approach towards labor. I am sure he "has the ear" of DOT Sean Duffy and President Trump.

Bedford has always been anti-labor. Years ago when part 117 came out Republic had a policy for refusing to extend your duty day. You had 2 options for not extending… 1. Officially call in fatigued or 2. Call in sick. When the Teamsters took that to the Indianapolis FSDO the response was, “That is a labor dispute and the FAA doesn’t get involved in those.” I am not optimistic that anything good will come for labor as a result of this appointment.
