Just for example:
Beautiful trip pops into OT at 9pm. If they call soon enough(before bed), i’d do it. Once I go to sleep I don’t want to be woken up no matter if I’d get it or not. So, bc you guys are sticking it to the company - your games cost me a slip bc it takes hours to do coverage for it*. Sure, someone else will grab it, but slowing the process down is petty and ridiculous.
Personally I think getting rid of the batch sizes was great. Trips are covered way faster now benefitting everyone. So you get a call for a trip you can’t hold? Turn your phone off, don’t put in a slip, bid a category where you’re more senior, etc. But clogging things up hurts us too.
*It’s contractual I get it.
An eye for an eye makes everyone blind. This is happening endlessly between us and management.
Maybe getting rid of batch sizes is great; maybe not; maybe there's a sweet spot in between. But in a 9-8 vote we gave away $millions to the company and got hardly anything in return other than a promise to follow the PWA.
Oh, and those batch size limitations weren't free. We negotiated for them at the expense of April 2020 rebid, which cost the pilot group a good chunk of money.
