This is why I will never consider LCP here. I refuse to be the hammer at the whim of management. This is a teaching position not a police position. I did LCA in a previous life and they tried to pull that. The LCA ranks were halved in 2 months.
All it takes is an awareness of your value as an LCP, and the fortitude to tell standards to pound sand when they want you to go from teaching to policing. If they don’t like that, they can waste money training a new LCP, who will ideally tell them to pound sand as well.
I was impressed with how many LCPs participated in the hats off campaign.
