Yea, you don’t fail a medical and get banned from flying same day unless your current medical is expired. And since they don’t expire until the end of the month…. Thats how it works.
This is a blatant violation of FAR 61.53. If this got out and anything happened, you could potentially be liable for criminal negligence because you were specifically grounded by an AME.
