Not sure why anyone who makes over 100k a month and has the ability to net even more than he does now while out on medical would push the issue, but again, it's on him.
Nobody here knows anything, so opining on it is stupid. Always seek expert advice prior to taking action. I would personally get the advice of my AME and our paid aeromedical advisors prior to leaving for the airport should I discover anything potentially disqualifying or have a medical denied. That's what we pay them for. Our sick and new disability systems are just too easy and good to screw if up.
So how do you feel about him finishing up a trip on one coast , flying all night long to start an AM trip on the other coast. I sure would not want one of my family members on a flight where the pilot did not get the legal rest required by the FAA.
