There will be a small number of United customers who will I guess accidentally will book JetBlue or book for the few places JetBlue flys that United doesn’t, But why wouldn’t they have been booking JetBlue in the past for those unique destinations already. In addition, very few people who live on Long Island are going to Newark but maybe now some JetBlue customers will come to EWR for the international but only to redeem miles cause if not they’ll just book delta or AA or international carrier at JFK.

I feel like giving up space at JFK was a huge mistake. Any airline in the past that has lost big time made the mistake of opening the door to someone else at their hub. United basically owns Newark. JetBlue literally cannot compete. Even with more gates.

I always thought that JetBlue needed to get back to what made them great in the first place and that was the north east BOS/LGA/JFK. Giving up more gates is the reverse of that in my opinion. In my honest opinion the JetBlue product is fantastic and moving away from LCC will make it even better.

Also why does JetBlue now need to run Europe flights when it gives their customers access to United’s international network. That seems like a loss for JetBlue pilots as a whole.

This deal feels very United heavy. I think for JetBlue this deal is very short sighted.
