Can anyone elaborate on the way commuting would work for someone living in the Pensacola, FL area in the interim until 2nd year pay? Is it possible to commute on a codeshare through Alaska? Or would it be prudent to select CVG as a domicile in the interim?

ok, so, Alaska is the same company, for anyone in the near future anyway. There is no Codeshare, that’s another thing. There is no possible way to “bid CVG in the interim”. You have to be flying the cargo side and then you are based in CVG, even then it’s a one year freight freeze, and you’d be an A330 pilot, there is no guarantee getting the A330 in the next two classes or beyond for that matter.
