I would prefer that too, but even if the hiring is done through Hawaiians hiring page, it's Alaska's show now. We have an Alaska Chief pilot and an assistant chief pilot that forgot he was ever Hawaiian as soon as they offered him base chief pilot doing the hiring. I'm fairly certain they're more interested in pilots that want to work for Alaska and are ok being "stuck" on the 717 for the 2-3 years it has left than they are pilots that would love the 717 but will be "stuck" flying 737s for 30 years after it leaves.
