Not a reroute but I recently heard a captain loudly on the phone with CS explaining that if they would drop the penalty lap on a certain trip it would match his WS and he would fly it. He was oh so helpful…less than a few days after the ALPA email came out explaining how making deals is a hose job on fellow pilots.
I have also heard there is a “list” of pilots who will be at the airport within certain timeline triggers…and that IA won’t go out until CS has called them. No personal verification of said information.
I think that’s a bunch of crap. In the past maybe so. I know when I was a very senior FO living in ATL the schedulers KNEW I’d get there quick. They had me on speed dial!
Now everything is so automated. It’s all robocalls.
