bases serve many purposes, including operational recovery, and quality of life to draw and keep talent. But as we plummet to the bottom and we lose some very good pilots to legacies I guess this matters no longer. We are more and more of a stepping stone and not a career airline. This is not a good place to be as a company. Imagine financially where we would be if we hired based on growth and not attrition?

in my opinion living in base at spirit is far better than commuting to anyone else but there is zero chance I would commute for spirit. So if another displacement puts me out of my base and we don’t open new bases that don’t suck it makes the decision for me because I don’t want to live in other bases we have. Sure I’d move short term but I’m out.
