But for anyone new, that’s not always true. I’ve bid a TON of reserve in my time here, and have championed exactly what notEnuf’s argument is. But I would also say that, on average, when I bid a line I’ve worked a little more, but made a lot more. Reserve definitely is more difficult to add pay to your month, unless GS are flowing. Just depends on what your main driver is.
I’ve had the exact opposite experience but 1.) I don’t bid a ton of reserve and 2.) I’ve only been here 10 years. I bid reserve in vacation months sometimes and it pays way more than a regular line with way less work. Maybe I have just gotten lucky.
