The Aussies are good people. Good aviators too. No ill will, but Americans come first
Aussie pilots are unionized pilots and are afforded the same "duty of fair representation" as pilots born on US soil. So its just not as simple as saying "next round of furloughs we will get rid of the Visa pilots first", because like it or now, SPA ALPA would legally be required to file arbitration for furloughing out of the order prescribed in the CBA.

Foreign carriers also terminate pilots for refusing to fly when fatigued, so trying to meet those standards is not the benchmark we/you should be striving for as a unionized carrier in the USA.

Aussie pilots pay their dues and work under the same CBA protections as any other NK pilot. This isnt about USA vs Foreign, it's about CBA and the obligation SPA ALPA has to follow it.
