APA says "the only new-hire pilot positions being offered to them are because all pilot preferences and awards received their award". Now, I could be very wrong here, and I don't know the exact new hire class awards for the last 6 months, but I have a hard time believe there have been 0 CLT 320 FO offers in the last 6 months of new hire classes.
But my question too is, being that we only do quarterly vacancies, if every QAL pilot got their preference and/or award, and we are running classes every 2 weeks and vacancies every 3 months, isn't that a lot more vacancies to fill than spots not being offered to QAL pilots; because of the quarterly bid? For example, so the December bid is closed. New hires for Jan, Feb and March only get offered what QAL pilots don't want, right? But if we are running classes every 2 weeks, isn't that a lot more spots to fill than what remained from the vacancy bid, but we just don't get the chance to bid? I'm missing something, I guess.
Could be worse, guy in my class lived in PHX but PHX wasn't offered. It was offered in the next class however unfortunately for him, PHX was walled off due to the split seniority lists so he had to wait a couple years to get back.
I know it sucks but that's the way it's done, your class gets your award and when the next vacancy that comes out that allows you to hold it, you can bid in.
CLT is, and will be, a senior base moving forward, it took me 3+ years to get there only to be on reserve. It only went junior for a short time because of the movement and the 737 base opening/expanding from 40->200+ over the span of 18 months or so.
Almost all the flows live in/around CLT and many people such as yourself want to move there.
