Gloating is a bit of a reach, and keep in mind this was a newsletter to a closed audience, the IPA membership, not front page on the USA Today. Beyond that I'm sure he's worried about keeping the flying from falling into into non flying or even charter hands first, see the Menlo purchase. I'm also fairly certain as this moves forward he'll do what he can about preferential hiring.
