IPA pilots are not gloating, we are sympathetic, and Miller is rightly concerned that UPS will look for ways to violate our CBA. He was assuring the IPA pilots that any flying will be IPA pilots. Potential growth, That is all. It's in our contract, he is supposed to lead the fight to defend our contract. It was a closed message to a closed audience leaked out. Perhaps he should have known virtually everything is public in the internet world, but it is a shame a union can never have priviliged conversations like our employers that addresses only specific union traffic.
Also, much of the volume likely will not get into 'new' airplanes anyway. Much of the air volume will simply go on the existing Airbus's etc, where the DC-9 goes currently. The rest will go on trucks that you currently fly.

Menlo (Emery) volume often goes by truck. They have a huge truck hub at SDF. We gained nothing in jobs or pilots. UPS also delayed usinf IPA pilots for a year after the contractual timelines. UPS will screw us the same as DHL screwed you.
It ain't the IPA pilots who set up this deal. You are getting the short end, we don't like it either since your pilot group has done alot for our business.
The IPA pilot board comment are in a state of sorrow/sympathy for your pilot group. No gloating. Peace.
