you have no proof to offer here other than anecdotal postulations. If you do have proof of recent systemic abuse of MLOA, I'll eat my hat (assuming I can find it)
You are barking up the wrong tree here with this stuff.
Reservists with airline jobs often DON'T avail themselves for those unpleasant things. Often, they specifically make themselves unavailable and fenced by their leadership to avoid the worst taskings and trips that their active duty brethren are then stuck with, while siphoning off all the easy work and high-QOL trips.
You don't have to believe me and I won't name names on a forum. But I saw that abuse from the mil side of things while a scheduler on active duty, and I see it now in the 121 world. I've actually had people openly confess in the cockpit to what I would consider abuses of mil leave. It's real, and it may be rare, but not exceedingly rare. The military is populated with great folks, but it's not totally devoid of selfishness and self-serving personalities.
