The app/interview process can go quickly or take a long time. Worst case scenario, you interview and decide not to take the job and ride out Spirit. All it costs you is a bit of time.
I’ve posted it before bc people keep asking why not just apply and have a CJO in your back pocket just in case.
The answer makes plenty of sense. You don’t get a second chance. You can’t accept the CJO and then not go to class. If you do that you expect to call them a year from now when spirit is gone and the legacy to welcome you with open arms. I’d like to have all options available if I ride it out and I’m not ready to say yes to a legacy tomorrow if offered the job.
You certainly could go through the process but if you tell them no after getting a class date so you can stay a spirit don’t expect to ever have that opportunity again with that airline.
