Yeah the trip quality piece is a headscratcher, and it’s very real in MIA, but the seniority difference despite the trip quality difference says a lot about what airframe you might consider for upgrade.
Get why you’d avoid GSW between now and then. Hopefully the junior upgrade would take about the amount of time you’d be withheld.

But I guess seniority fixes almost everything. 31XXX and living right by the airport is my recipe to overcome the drama lol. Summer has been tough though, August looks much better, I traded down to 7 days of work, and the rest I'll be waiting for those last minute trips.
I think being a senior FO rather than a junior CA is the way togo, for me. Once you can hold a line, sure. On the other hand, I can't wait to go back to WB flying. It's always good to have options.
