As for upgrades, a I asked a couple people I know at United and they both believe the upgrade should drop back to 1 to 2 years once the hiring and deliveries ramp up again starting in the fall.
We just had 18 month seniority pilots get Airbus Captain on the bid last December. They are going to start significant NBCA bids again in November per crew resources. Just so you know the most recent vacancy bids have had hardly any NBCA bids, so of course where there are just a couple its going to go senior.
