Email sent out yesterday:

“Hello Alaska Pilots,

We’re very excited to officially launch our combined pilot hiring process for both the Alaska and Hawaiian seniority lists. We will begin interviews in September for classes scheduled to start after we achieve single operating certificate.

Please feel free to share the application link below with any pilots you know who are interested in joining our now larger Air Group. I’m very excited about our upcoming growth together.

The link to apply for the First Officer position will go live at 8:00am PT on Friday, August 1:”

Sounds like it won’t matter after September 1? It’s “combined pilot hiring” not exactly sure what that means. With the way hiring and growth go here I would get the first available class possible. My first class was cancelled and I didn’t get another for almost 3 months. It would make a huge difference now.
