How often are 787 reserve FOs flying in SFO? Lots of short calls? I’m curious if bidding reserve while living in Denver is possible or will be a total nightmare. I know lots of commuters do den - sfo but if I’m only having to do it once or twice a month it might not be so bad?
On the 747, there were almost no short calls in SFO. I flew about one trip a month. On the 787, it was a different story. That’s about when Kirby came here as president
(2017/2018?) and the short calls become very punitive for a DEN commuter. Had to become an instructor.
