Correct. But a 30 second highlight of an abort isn’t a fighter sortie brief. It’s easy to assume the role of the “too cool for school” guy in the right seat and roll your eyes as if they don’t need to need to pay attention. Perspective tends to change when you understand the underlying human performance data behind having a shared mental model after a brief. I understand the value of brevity, so thats never an issue, but some just think they are next level and that anything that pushes back on their belief (even if it’s data supported) gets the eye roll.
Then we should brief RTO and abnormals every flight.
