Freedom Airlines doesn't report DOT #'s (Freedom doesn't meet the minimum revenue #'s to trigger required reporting). It's unlikely any author on this board knows where Freedom stands (though some post as if they do). If someone posts as if they know the #'s, than I'm asking them to speak up and substantiate their claims.

Delta has internal tracks of what is going on and what level of service is provided. They would not make that public because of the negative publicity. They just have to overcompensate for the mistakes of their DCI portfolio.
I agree, Delta knows which DCI carrier they consider 'the worst'. However, nobody on this board speaks on behalf of Delta or has access to Delta's internal #'s that I know of - and if they do, they likely wouldn't author posts on a message board divulging privileged info.

AND upon further investigation MESA Airline (I think just Air Midwest DBA "Mesa Airlines") was evaluated and didn't do so hot in 2007(not to say everyone else did that much better): http://eventplanning.about.com/gi/dy...ts/2007aqr.pdf
Mesa Airlines operates flying for US Airways Express and United Express. They don't operate flying for Delta. AirMidwest, like Freedom, doesn't report #'s to the DOT. AirMidwest is also ceasing to exist as a company in the near future. And as "STILL GROUNDED" pointed out, Mesa Airline's #'s are better than at least 2 DCI carriers. If we assume Freedom operates similarly to Mesa (most pilots who work @ Mesa Air Group say that Freedom Airlines is the operation that their management cares most about, and b/c of this attention they feel it runs the best - though this is just individual opinion, and therefore not fact), then Freedom is likely not "the worst" DCI carrier. That Delta is trying to get rid of them does offer ancillary evidence that Freedom may not be the top performing carrier, but it should also be noted Delta seeks only to eliminate Freedom's 50 seat ERJ flying, not the CRJ-705 flying Freedom does for Delta. If Freedom's operation is so undesirable, why not try to get rid of ALL of their DCI flying?

What's important to me to get across on this board is that the actions that make Freedom desirable or undesirable to Delta have very little to do with the individual contributions of the pilots who operate Freedom's flights. One can hope for the best for the pilots (or fellow brothers and sisters) without also supporting the management team or the company.

I agree with 'Scoop'. The trial is where the real action is. Furthermore, if it is true that an injunction was issued based upon Freedom's (and Mesa Air Group's) financial solvency, rather on the alleged breach of the terms of the contract enter into between Delta and Freedom, Delta may very well win @ the appellate level on the merits of the injunction.
