Friendly is correct. I’ll use baseball as an analogy. Delta and United are the Yankees and Dodgers. The best pitcher, Paul Skenes, is on the pirates. Basically a 300 million payroll vs a 40 million. Why would those teams trade and give away their top farm guys to Pittsburgh when they know they can just sign him when his rookie salary is over. Yes we’re the Pirates. No one is buying us. 25 billion, respectively is what Delta and United. Why pay a premium when it will be cheaper in a year. Besides we’re a farm system anyways for them with pilots, dispatch, MX, etc. And if it does happen, the fences will be so high it won’t matter
I talked to Hawaiians CP yesterday. Basically what they’re doing. An Alaska will never Hawaiian stuff. Even AA is barely a blimp on the radar to them.
