The DOJ said they were suing to block this merger regardless of any sort of concessions B6 was willing to make. They were dead set on blocking any and every merger they feasibly could. They wanted to block the AS/HA merger but ended up with egg on their face after successfully torpedoing the B6/NK merger and it was too close to the election. The whole thing is just a gigantic comedy of errors.
That’s right there was no middle ground as some think. The DOJ came out and said there was absolutely nothing JetBlue could do to make them happy nothing.
This sucks all around and from a JetBlue guy. I know it’s just words but I really think this sucks and hate that it’s happening to a great pilot group.
