Your case aside though, funding more of a retirement for those on LTD is just funded by those working. I’m sure you can see how no one wants their premiums to go up to pay for someone to get a better 911.
Yes, I get that my first comment angered some folk because they perceived it as a money grab comment, and I also get that LTD is not cheap, but it's a heck of a lot better to have it than not. That, to me, should be the point.
I would much rather be adding to my own 401k by working instead of hoping for another year of LTD but I can't, and I hope you and the others who disliked my comment realize that that was my simple point. Everyone should favor improving LTD and adding two years would be an improvement, plain and simple.
