737 is an old school design that still requires tons of training and hands on skills, stuff that is becoming more and more rare these days
More truth! The only real value we pilots bring to our airlines are judgement and airmanship. The judgement is slowly being taken away through ever more regs, procedures, and company policies; while the airmanship is eroding from ever more reliance on automation. Not a great long term trend...
